Here’s a new instrumental demo, tentatively called “Dark Jazz” that was constructed largely with Apple’s GarageBand. It’s a companion piece to “Lady X-Ray” if you’ve ever heard us play that live. If it lands on the next Mesmers album we’ll redo most of the parts and let the band fill out the sound quite a bit.

I’ve been doing a ton a reading on the business side of music. Maybe I should have done this before recording the album? Yeah, well, that and buck will get me a cup of coffee…
We got a quick mention at Synthesizers.com. It was my modular synth (which I call Gorf) made of their modules that created almost all the bass lines and a good many of the sound effects and sequences on our album.
Synthesizers.com makes great stuff – and at a very reasonable price. If you’re looking into a modular synthesizer I can’t recommend them enough.
The Mesmers officially released their new CD Fitz’s Subway to Another Life at Freddie’s Beach Bar on Thursday May 6th. They had a fantastic show! Quite a few folks turned up for the fun.
